Our first stop of the day was the Hughes Family Theater.
This act consists of five brothers who have performed together since childhood.
The women they are married to also perform in the theater. Thirty four children have been born between them and one member of the troupe was excused from the performance as she just had a baby two weeks ago.
Performing together with the band being the only non-family members on stage.
One family group.
The kids get into the act at a young age.
Older children displaying musical talents.
Nativity enactment. One wag says that they always need a new baby to portray the baby Jesus.
Next was the Grand Country Music Hall. This is an entertainment complex with theater, restaurant, motel and even an indoor mini-golf layout.
This show featured the New South Gospel Quartet and a female lead and the host/singer in orange.
Looking out at the intermission had a hint of what was to come.
Great performers everywhere in Branson.
Next venue was Andy Williams' Moon River Theater featuring the Lennon sisters and the Osmond brothers. The entrance to the theater began to have a "post card" appearance.
The Osmond brothers were using the stage filming some promotion and we had to wait until the theater was available. The guy in the red coat looks suspicious.
A view of the stage.
From the left, Kathy and Janet Lennon of the original four sisters, the older ones have retired, and Mimi, the youngest sister in the family. They started on the Laurence Welk show on Christmas 1955. You may figure the ages of these ladies and how well they have aged and look years younger.
The Osmond brothers. They got their start on the Andy Williams show on television at the same time as the Lennons on the Laurence Welk show.
Apparently the "Cookie Bear" was a feature on the annual Andy Williams Christmas shows. Here the grand daughters of Janet perform on stage.
Multi-generational performers.
Snow continues.
Here come a little band of sojourners wending their way to the bus. Who would have thought that we would need boots in Branson. We got back to the motel safely.
