Visiting a museum

We went to Edinberg, TX, to visit the Museum of South Texas History.  Edinberg is the county seat of Hidalgo County and home to the University of Texas Pan American and the Rio Grande Bible Institute.

This is the exterior of the building.

This part is the old county jail constructed in 1912.  It was closed for refurbishing.  It seems that some of the walls were in need of repair.

The interior was very interesting and well done in our opinion.

The history of South Texas was told from when the first Spaniards came up until the present time.

The story of the irrigation projects was told.

They have lots of groups of students from around the area that visit.
