Gloria & Larry Lundstrom's Branson Christmas Tour

We have known about the Lundstrom ministries for many years but never have our paths crossed until now.  My "cousin" Bob and I share last names.  Even though our names are a bit unusual, we are not related.  Bob and his wife Loretta asked us to accompany us on this tour to Branson, MO.  So this is our first bus tour ever, excepting those one-day trips to the Minnesota State Fair.
We drove to a motel on the North Dakota/South Dakota border.  The weather as we left Fergus Falls was bad and we were glad to be about 20 miles from Sisseton, SD, where the tour originated.  This is also the headquarters of the Lundstrom Ministries.

Bob and Loretta joined the tour at Watertown, SD.

Gloria kept us informed about our schedule.  She looked at the forecast for Branson and learned that greater than 5 inches of heavy snow are expected on Thursday and Friday.  Some of us had planned to go to Silver Dollar City, a theme park, on that day.  She re-jiggered the schedule.

A rest area that Gloria described as a "smile" place.  That is, we will be smiling when we could leave.

Afterwards he tells "corny" jokes to keep us loose.

Sue is doing a little crochet project that will turn out to be a Christmas tree.

Each of us introduced themselves as to number of kids and grand kids.  We also told of where we are from and what did or are doing as a career.  From some we learned a lot more interesting information.

A quick stop in Missouri to pick up our last member of the tour and to stretch our legs.

Arrival in Overland Park, KS, for an overnight.

More tomorrow!
